There are 4 types of shears available for mounting on 18-80 ton excavators. This robust tool can be used for a wide variety of jobs including demolition, scrap processing and tire recycling. The DXS scrap shear has an offset apex jaw design. This jaw design forces the material into the jaw and starts cutting during the compression of the material.

Shear Arm
Slim, heavy-duty design delivers penetration and reliability. Rhino horn tip for easy scrap pickup. Manufactured from Hardox 400 steel for maximum durability in demanding North American scrap yards.
Bearings
Induction-hardened pins are seat ed in steel bearings
Hardened lateral guide plates
Hardened side plates stabilize the shear arm within the main bearing, extending component life. Independent greasing system prevents wear and corrosion.
Upside-down DemaPower 2.0 cylinder
Advanced 4-chamber design delivers 25% more power and cutting force equivalent to larger shears. Dual-speed valve ensures fastest cycle times on the market. Fully enclosed rod protection eliminates seal failures and extends service intervals.
Optimal mouth design with large opening
Offset apex maximizes cut capacity and material flow. Replaceable and re-weldable piercing tips reduce spare parts costs. Externally accessible blades with Blade Locking System (BLS) on upper and lower jaws enable field serviceability.
